notes: Short and anticlimactic.  Dark music and violent lyrics ending with the revelation that the speaker's murderous hatred is directed not against perpetrators of war or social injustices, but "people who hurt animals."

Malcolm:

I quite liked this one. The narrator is an animal-rights activist who, in his desire to defend animals, begins to hate human beings. This is incidentally I think the problem with animal-rights, that it tends to put forward a highly debased view of humanity. Unfortunately, many McCarthy fans thought this song gave my sincere opinion, and that I really wanted to kill humans who eat meat.
