Now Is The Time For An Iron Hand

Those who would rule before us wanted to be kind
And to turn the other cheek
That was all very well but what did it achieve?
Our enemy's strength has increased

Now's the time for an iron hand
Nothing else will stop them now
It's time for an iron hand
We have gone softly for too long

Once England was a place to bring up children in
We could call this country our own
But we let the queers of the closet and then
All the rot here we sit in (?)

Now's the time for an iron hand
Oh what else will stop them now
It's time for an iron hand
We have gone softly for too long

Now's the time for an iron hand
Oh what else will stop them now
It's time for an iron hand
We have gone softly for too long

Liberals ridicule us so with more we can bring (?)
We don't care what they say
Their day has gone by and never forget
We have got the power in our hands

Now's the time for an iron hand
Nothing else will stop them now
It's time for an iron hand
We have gone softly for too long

Malcolm:

The blend of guitar and organ is quite good here too, I think. Tim's guitar solo is really good. It starts with a very simple two note punky theme, then a quickly descending part, on top of which a sliding motif is added. During the mix Gary messed about with the volume of individual snare beats, I seem to remember, so that from time to time one of them suddenly jumps out.
