We separated from our manager, Paul Sutton, and
signed with Midnight Records at about this time. The first single we did with Midnight was Boy Meets Girl So What, and this was one of the B-sides. I find the songs we did at this time fairly laborious. On the lyric front, I was unfortunately influenced by some feedback from the earlier records, which maintained that what I wrote was too obscure, and I should be making things more explicit. On the musical front, we tried to make the songs longer, more varied, better produced. Sometimes this worked, but more often it didn't, as here. This song is surely one of the worst we did.
