The Well-Fed Point of View

The well-fed say look in the mirror
If you want to know why we go bad
Change your ways
Look in your heart
Look in your soul

The world is cruel because people are cruel themselves
Just look inside and let a little sunshine in
Look in your heart
Look in your soul

So they say
So the well-fed say
Look in your heart
Look in your soul

What the well-fed don't say
Look at the world if you want to know why we go bad
Change the world
Don't look in your heart
Don't look in your soul

If people are cruel then look at what makes them cruel
Just look outside where the struggle is going on
Don't look in your heart
Don't look in your soul

That they don't say
That the well-fed don't say
Don't look in your heart
Don't look in your soul
Don't look in your heart
No you haven't got a soul

notes:

Malcolm:

I was thinking of people like Michael Jackson here, when they claim that you have to change people's hearts rather than the world. It seems to me it should be the other way round. I like this song, although I don't know anyone else who does. I'm not sure the others were very keen on it.
